A vacuum designed around pet hair

Pet hair defeats ordinary vacuums in two specific ways: it wraps the brush roll until agitation stops, and the dander that rides with it passes straight through unsealed filtration and back into the room. The R25 Pet Premium addresses both. Its brush roll is engineered to resist tangling so hair feeds into the airflow instead of spooling around the bristles, and its sealed HEPA system captures dander at 99.97% and holds it inside a self-sealing bag.

The machine ships with a pet-specific tool kit for upholstery, stairs, pet beds, and the car — the places hair actually accumulates once you've handled the open carpet. Like the rest of the Riccar line it's built in Missouri with metal where it counts, carries a lifetime belt warranty, and is serviceable with parts we stock.

Why it fits households here

A large share of the homes we service in Twin Falls, Kimberly, and Jerome have at least one dog, and a working ranch or farm dog brings in far more than hair — it brings the field with it. That mix of hair, dust, and grit is punishing on a vacuum's brush roll and filtration, and it's the reason we see so many two-year-old bagless machines come in with cooked motors and packed filters.

Choose the R25 Pet if animals are the reason you're vacuuming as often as you are, especially on carpet. It's the machine we recommend most often to dog and cat households, and the tool kit alone saves buying attachments separately.

If your home is mostly hard floors with area rugs, a SEBO Automatic or Felix may suit you better thanks to their automatic height adjustment and modular heads. Why doesn't Consumer Reports rank Riccar or SEBO vacuums?

Consumer Reports provides valuable baseline testing, but its contender selection naturally emphasizes mass-market big-box models based on retail shelf availability. Dealer-grade brands like Riccar and SEBO are sold through independent dealers, so they're often outside that pool. Bagged or bagless — which is better?

For allergy and asthma households, bagged wins clearly. The bag is the primary filter, it seals the dust in, and you throw it away without a cloud of dander in the laundry room. Bagless saves you the cost of bags but re-releases fine dust every time you empty the bin and requires regular filter cleaning to keep suction up.

How long should a good vacuum last?

The machines we carry are built for 10 to 20 years of household use. Riccar and Simplicity uprights routinely pass a decade with a belt and filter here and there; SEBO's modular German build regularly runs 20-plus years because nearly every component is replaceable rather than disposable.

What is sealed HEPA filtration and does it matter?

A HEPA filter alone means little if air can bypass it through gaps in the housing. Sealed HEPA means the entire airflow path is gasketed so everything the machine picks up actually goes through the filter. If anyone in the house has allergies or asthma, this is the single spec worth paying for.

Do you service what you sell?

Everything. Bags, belts, filters, brush rolls, cords, hoses, and motors for every brand on our floor are stocked or orderable, and repairs are handled in our own Twin Falls shop rather than shipped off to a regional depot.
