The story behind Simplicity
Simplicity is built in the same St. James, Missouri facility as Riccar under the Tacony umbrella, but the design brief is different: get the weight down without giving up genuine HEPA filtration or repairability. The SupraLite line, at roughly eight pounds, came out of that brief and has been the go-to lightweight upright for two decades.
Because it shares a parts platform with Riccar, service is straightforward and the components are familiar to any shop that works on either brand.

Stairs, apartments, and second floors. A surprising number of the vacuum problems people bring us aren't mechanical — they own a machine too heavy to carry, so it doesn't get used. Simplicity solves that without dropping to big-box build quality.
It's also our most common trade-in target: customers moving out of a 20-pound upright into an eight-pound Simplicity almost never go back.
