Water Softener Repair — All Brands, Not Just Ours

Kenmore, GE, Whirlpool, AO Smith, Sears, Culligan, Hague, Nelsen, Kinetico — if it's a softener, we've seen it, and most of the time we can fix it.

Softener problems almost always fall into three categories: the head isn't regenerating on schedule, the brine tank isn't drawing salt, or the resin bed itself is fouled or spent. Diagnosing which one is happening takes about fifteen minutes with a pressure gauge, a hardness test kit, and a look at the control valve — which is why we always give a real estimate before we open anything up.

We service every major valve family: Fleck 5600, 7000, 5810, 5812, and 9100; Clack WS1 and WS1.5; the Hague Watermax proprietary head; Nelsen 97MMB1; and the electronic heads on Kenmore, GE, and Whirlpool store-brand units. Common repairs are pistons and seals (a $60–$120 job), brine valve rebuilds, timer replacements on older heads, and full resin swaps on beds older than 12–15 years or fouled with iron.

Bring the unit into the shop for the fastest turnaround (bench diagnostics + parts on hand), or schedule an on-site visit if the unit is plumbed in and we need to test it in the system. Warranty work on Kinetico, Hellenbrand, Hague, WaterCare, and Nelsen equipment we sold is covered — bring us the paperwork or we'll pull it from our records.

What's included

  • Fleck 5600 / 7000 / 5810 / 5812 / 9100 valves
  • Clack WS1 and WS1.5 valves
  • Hague Watermax proprietary head service
  • Kenmore, GE, Whirlpool, AO Smith electronic heads
  • Full resin bed replacements
  • On-site or in-shop diagnostics

RO System Service & Filter Changes

Annual filter changes, membrane replacements, and diagnosing a slow-flow or bad-taste system.

Reverse osmosis systems need yearly attention: sediment and carbon pre-filters swap out annually, and the membrane itself lasts three to five years depending on your source water. A slow faucet flow is almost always a fouled sediment filter or a low storage-tank air-charge; bad taste is usually a spent carbon post-filter. Neither is a big job, and we stock filters for every RO system we've ever sold.

If you're not sure what brand or model your under-sink RO is, take a photo of the manifold and text or bring it in — we'll ID it from that.

Vacuum Repair — Every Brand

Riccar, SEBO, Simplicity, Kirby, Miele, Shark, Dyson, Bissell, Hoover — if it plugs in and sucks (or should), we work on it.

Most vacuum problems are simple: worn brush roll, stretched belt, clogged airflow, or a bad switch. Those are same-day fixes. Motor bearings, cord rewind assemblies, and PCB replacements take longer but are almost always cheaper than a new machine — especially on higher-end brands like Miele, Kirby, and the Riccar R-series where you're preserving a $600+ unit for a $75–$150 repair.

We start every repair with a diagnostic and a written estimate. If the repair doesn't make economic sense (belt drive housing cracked on an entry-level box-store unit, for example), we'll tell you and put the diagnostic fee toward a new machine instead of billing you for repair labor you don't want.

Bring it into the shop at 329 Addison Ave. West. Most repairs turn around in two to five business days depending on parts availability — and because we stock genuine OEM belts, bags, filters, and brush rolls for the brands we sell, those turnaround times are typically the fastest in the Valley.

What's included

  • Brush roll and belt replacement
  • Motor and bearing service
  • Cord rewind and switch repair
  • HEPA and post-motor filter replacement
  • Warranty work on Riccar, SEBO, and Simplicity

Financing available on qualifying installs

Whole-house softeners, RO systems, and central vacuum installs can be financed over 12–36 months. Payments typically land below what most families were already spending on bottled water or repeat repairs.

Questions

Service & Repair — frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what customers ask us most in the showroom and on the phone.

How long does a vacuum repair take?

Common repairs — belts, brush rolls, cords, hoses, clogs, switches — are frequently same-day or next-day in our Twin Falls shop, and simple fixes are often done while you wait. Repairs that need an ordered part typically run three to seven business days depending on the brand.

What does a vacuum repair cost?

Most routine repairs land between $40 and $120 including parts. We diagnose first and call you with the number before doing the work, and if the repair doesn't make financial sense against the age and condition of the machine, we'll tell you that instead of selling you the labor.

Do you repair water softeners you didn't install?

Yes. We service all major brands regardless of who sold the system — Kinetico, Hellenbrand, WaterCare, Culligan, Hague, Nelsen, Fleck, Clack, and most builder-grade units. Common calls are valve heads that stopped metering, salt bridging in the brine tank, resin fouled by iron, and drain-line issues.

My softener stopped making soft water — what's usually wrong?

In order of frequency: a salt bridge that's keeping brine from forming, a valve that's lost its program or has a worn piston seal, an injector clogged by sediment, or resin fouled by iron on well water. All four are repairable; almost none of them mean you need a new system. We diagnose on site and quote before we start.

Do you do in-home service or do I bring it in?

Water treatment equipment is serviced in your home — we come to you anywhere in the Magic Valley. Vacuums are handled in our Addison Avenue shop, where we have the parts, the test bench, and the diagnostic tools.
